Kathryn Cole started this petition to The Walt Disney Company

Did you know the original run time of “STARWARS Episode 3: the Revenge of the Sith” was originally way longer and was rated R? Where you confused about the events that were discussed in Episode 2 that transpired before the “Clone Wars”, but after “The Phantom Menace”? There’s a lot of things George Lucas wanted to add to his movies, but was restricted by marketing, movie run-time, budget, and some hardcore fans.

This petition is to force Disney to let George Lucas write and direct his perfect vision of “STARWARS”, from the beginning of the lore, to the end, as a TV show. Disney has A LOT of money and STARWARS is a big money maker for them. A STARWARS tv show that tells the full universe’s tale (as far back as George wants to start that is) would make a killing. The extended universe comics, tv shows, and video games are loved by many fans. A huge TV show would be the perfect medium to pull it all together with.

There are some demands though:

  • Disney is not allowed to say “no” or censor anything that George wants to do. If Obi-Wan is going to chop Darth Maul into a bloody mess, it better be a bloody, gorey, mess if George sees fit
  • The episodes must be 1-2 hours long. Most people binge watch their tv now anyways, a 2 hour long episode is not a big deal. If we can sit through 3 hours of “Avengers: Endgame” then 2 hours is a cake walk.
  • George can retcon and change what ever he wants. If a movie lines up with the original story, they can branch off into sub-stories (like, what was Yoda and Mace Windu doing at the beginning of “The Phantom Menace”?)
  • Obi-wan can only be played by Ian McGregor, and Mace Windu can only be played by Samuel L Jackson. This is not negotiable.
  • There will be absolutely NO influence of the story by fans. If Jar-Jar Binks plays an important and prominent role, then the fans better get use to it.

The hope is that this petition will convince Disney that We think George Lucas deserves to tell his own story and shouldn’t have to be filtered by Disney’s Directors.
