Star Wars has long been a story about two things, inclusion and social justice. After over 2 hour and 33 minutes, you the Walt Disney Company (and Rian Johnson, an amazing cast, Kathleen Kennedy, etc) provided a fantastically inclusive film, paid tribute to some of our favorite characters and moments and truly challenged our characters.
Episode VIII was amazing. It restored an actual character to Luke Skywalker that a two minute angsty stare never could (also when he throws that lightsaber over his shoulder? CLASSIC!). It restored the very reason most of us, as fans, love Star Wars.
However the response to Episode VIII is a travesty. It completely destroys the legacy of Luke Skywalker and the Jedi. It destroyed the very reasons most of us, as fans, love Star Wars. This can be fixed. Just as you unmuddled the cannon by wiping out 30 years of stories, we ask you to wipe out the fringe disgusting parts of the fandom. Not wipe out like with a Death Star, but just completely ignore and don't care about what they have to say, or their stupid attempt to lower the audience score of Rotten Tomatoes. Everyone made a great film, and we want you to know we loved it. Which is why this even exists. There's not enough positivity when stuff like this happens, we want to wipe out their stupid stunts like Rian Johnson wiped out all of the stupid mysteries that did not need to exist.
We stuck by you when you did things that hurt us before, so we ask you now, please don't let their man baby attitudes ruin a good thing. Don't listen to them, and take away something that means so much to us and fans for years to come.
