A Goofy Movie stands at the top of Disney's animated pantheon, and yet in this era of live-action remakes, we've heard no word about this timeless classic. This petition moves that Disney starts working on a live-action remake of A Goofy Movie effective immediately. April 7th, 2020 will mark the film's 25th anniversary, so Disney has a little over a year to correct their oversight.

To the good people at Disney: take care to keep the 90s vibe of the original intact while adjusting the remake to the taste of modern audiences. No one wants a try-hard film about "yeets" or "bread" or whatever people think that kids are into these days. Rachel Paige has already offered a solid cast list, but I trust you to choose the right talent for this film. I personally believe Bruno Mars is a perfect choice for Powerline. A full soundtrack with never-before released Powerline songs is a must, including extended versions of "Stand Out" and "Eye to Eye."

To the potential petitioners out there: in signing this petition, you are bringing A Goofy Movie back to its rightful place at the forefront of cinematic art. I know many fear that the remake won't live up to the glory of it's predecessor, but that is a risk worth taking. Without a live-action remake, many modern audiences will never know the joy of seeing this marvel of cinema on the big screen. And even if the remake is a flop, at least it will remind us of the greatness that inspired it.
