It has been 45 years since Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem exploded on the rock and roll scene, starting with the Muppet Show. After that, they had numerous appearances in movies, other Muppet-related tv shows, specials, etc., and more recently, their Outside Lands performance in 2016, followed by The Muppets Take the Bowl and the O2, two years later. With their popularity on the rise, I think that the band should have their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, joining the stars of Kermit the Frog, the Muppets, Big Bird, and their fallen creator, Jim Henson, who was also the original voice of Dr. Teeth. In addition, they have also performed with Elton John, Joan Jett, Willie Nelson, Lady Gaga, and various other stars in the music industry, and I see the band, not only as a puppet band, but an influential force on rock and roll and all things that are about peace and love. It would be a loving tribute to Jim Henson's legacy, as he was the man who created the band we all know and love today. For Dr. Teeth, Animal, Sgt. Floyd Pepper, Janice, Zoot and Lips, thank you for the music and helping us fans find our inner hippie.
