I am very disappointed with the people in charge of the Disney limited edition dolls. These dolls are now becoming unaffordable and making collecting them more of a burden than a hobby. That should never happen!! What has made many collectors upset are the outrageously high prices for the upcoming Cinderella live action LE dolls. The 1 of 4000 Ball gown Cinderella has increased to $129 plus tax, along with the 1 of 500 Wedding Cinderella has increased to an unnecessarily expensive price of $500 plus tax! We do not want to start buying our dolls at unaffordable, eBay prices! We want the prices to change or we will boycott collecting the  dolls!

There are more Frozen dolls being released this upcoming March . Disney has already released 2 sets of them in the last year and 2 months. What about Pocahontas, Mulan and other Disney characters? Why were they excluded? Mulan and Pocahontas are atleast in the Disney princess line, in contrast to Elsa and Anna who aren't even in Disney princess merchandise! Disney has released dolls for characters who are not even part of the Princess line such as the Disney Villains, Alice, Sergeant Calhoun, Nightmare before Christmas, & Toy Story. I read that Disney is releasing Pinnochio in Diamond Edition soon, so why not make a Blue Fairy Limited Edition Doll? If Disney can continuously release more Frozen dolls, then there is no excuse why Disney can't expand dolls for the other characters we love so much.

The price hype mainly started when the Frozen 17 dolls were released in November 2013. Disney released more Frozen dolls in March 2014. Both of these sets were $100 plus tax. The release of Aurora 17 inch limited edition doll is when the price increase $120 plus tax. That was understandable , since the dolls have increased in popularity from supply and demand. But the price should not skyrocket from $120 to $139 to $500!! That is greed at its best. Yes, the dolls have increased in popularity since Frozen came out, but Disney should not take advantage of it!

If you look at elsa_snow_queen_1313's pictures below, you can see there is little, to no difference between the Disney store 11 inch Wedding Cinderella and the Limited Edition Wedding Cinderella. Why should we pay for a $500 doll that looks exactly like the ones you can get for $39? The doll doesn't even have real gold or Swarovski crystals! I believe they are doing this because of the Alice 1 of 500 Limited Edition Doll's current off market price of $3000. However there is a reason why Alice is so high. She is not brand new, since she was released in 2011. Also, since she is an antique she has increased price in age! In that case, Cinderella Wedding Limited edition doll should be $120 just like the rest of the LE 17 dolls. There is no reason why she should be worth $500, especially since Alice, who also has an edition of 500, was only $99 plus tax when Disney released her.

We do not want to end collecting the dolls we love because of the unaffordable prices Disney is putting on them. It is unfair, unnecessary and just plain greedy. Im sure these dolls did not cost much for Disney to have them created, so they should not cost that much to buy them! Their price needs to be $120 and STAY $120!! If we do not stand up now, then Disney will continue to increase the prices. I, for one, am not going to let them take advantage of us, since that is exactly what they are doing. Disney knows we  love these dolls and they think we will buy them for these outrageous prices. We need to let them know this is unacceptable. We want these dolls to remain affordable. We also want more of a diversity. Instead of making more Frozen dolls, make a LE Pocahontas, Mulan, Esmeralda, Meg and many more. If you agree, please sign the petition and comment your opinions below. The more of us who speak up, the better the chance of Disney taking action and end this madness.
