On January 6, 2021, one of the most egregious attacks on our democracy happened when supporters of Donald Trump breached security and stormed through the United States Capitol Building and attempted to stop the vote certifying Joe Biden as the next President. Two of the men voted to be public servants, Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Josh Hawley (R-MI) led the charge to challenge the votes in swing states. They, along with many other people and factors, should be held responsible for this insurrection. 
With a majority vote, the Senate can move to censure (publicly condemn an individual) a fellow senator. If the Senate can get a 2/3rds majority (67/100), then the Senate can move to expel a senator and remove them from their post.
