Everything You Need to Know About Epstein-Barr Virus

Please see the letter below (with references) addressed to Eugene Shapiro and the Tick-Borne Disease Working Group. If you have Lyme and laboratory results showing objective signs of disease as I have presented below why not send Shapiro and the Tick-Borne Disease Working Group a copy of those lab reports as evidence that this so-called nuisance disease has been deliberately mishandled.

You may want to carbon copy the lead attorney of the Lisa Torrey vs IDSA lawsuit, Daniel Dutko: ddutko@rustyhardin.com

Dr. Shapiro,

With your specialty in infectious disease, I would assume you are familiar with Epstein-Barr virus?

Most Americans have been exposed to this virus by the time they reach their teens and after the initial onset of symptoms the virus goes dormant but remains in the patient for life kept in check by a healthy immune system.

I have attached a copy of a Quest Diagnostics Epstein-Barr lab report dated March 26, 2012 three years after Dr. Sam Donta diagnosed me with chronic Lyme disease.

Results from that lab report:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/iuco0lwurit7a6s/Reactivated%20EBV.JPG?dl=0

INTERPRETATION: Suggestive of a recent Epstein-Barr infection

At the time I was 55 years-old so there is absolutely no way this infection was recent; it is a reactivated latent viral infection allowed to surface through immunosuppression.

Late stage chronic Lyme disease causes immunosuppression making this disease far more serious than a simple nuisance disease (Hard to catch and easily treated) as promoted by the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the defendants of the Lisa Torrey vs IDSA lawsuit.

Chronic Active Epstein-Barr Virus Infection causes debilitating fatigue [1] and can lead to cancer and in my case, Lymphoma. (Cancer of the immune system)

So what is the 30yr motivation for downplaying the severity of Lyme disease Dr. Shapiro?

The truth about this disease and its severity has been exposed in the “Under our Skin” documentary:

Under Our Skin - Extended Trailer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxWgS0XLVqw

Avoiding the late stage debilitated Lyme patient population by focusing on the acute stage after early treatment has insured that the existing dogma (racketeering scheme) remains intact as identified in the recent NY Times article:

My Son Got Lyme Disease. He’s Totally Fine.
By Apoorva Mandavilli    June 27, 2019

Horror stories about lingering Lyme disease proliferate, but the illness is easily treated.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/06/27/well/live/lyme-disease-children-treatment-diagnosis.html

Patient testimony all across America (and the globe) is describing an immunosuppressive disease that is destroying lives, ending careers while leaving its victim in financial ruin and these patients are left to fend for themselves; an absolute worldwide healthcare catastrophe complements of the IDSA, CDC, ALDF and the academics named in the Texas racketeering lawsuit.
