Late-Night Dining Hall Hours at the University of Texas at Austin

Across the UT campus, almost every place to eat closes/stops serving around 7 pm. This makes eating a late dinner difficult, and limits the options to only unhealthy fast-food restaurants, especially if the students do not have access to a kitchen. On top of this, a majority of students rely on their campus Dining Dollars to pay for their meals, so if they are unable to spend any extra money on fast-food, they have no choice but to go to bed hungry. By keeping the main dining halls open until at least 10 or 11 pm, more students will be able to maintain healthier dieting habits, will be able to save money, and will be less likely to be put in danger by making a late night trip to the nearest off-campus food establishment.
