Do not enact course and modules changes that affect current students.

During a recent board of studies meeting it was brought to my attention that the University plans to enact changes within the Faculty of health and medical sciences that would greatly affect some current students. At best, the module flexibility and optionality available to students will be greatly reduced; at worst entire courses - 5 so far - will no longer be available.
Many students chose Surrey precisely for the flexibility offered in their degrees, thus allowing us to tailor our studies to best suit our needs. It is simply unacceptable for the University to not only alter our courses so drastically after our studies have began but also to announce those changes two days before most students leave for a month long Easter break.
I fully respect the fact that the University reserves the right to change and modify its courses as it sees fit; however these changes should not be directed towards those students who applied and received offers in good faith. The University should and must honor their commitments to these students.
