With COVID-19 forcing university students, especially those in first-year to learn online, this has taken a mental and physical toll on us. There are many universities, for example, the University of Alberta, who have extended their winter break for at least another week to give their students time to recover. We believe we have also earned this at the University of Saskatchewan due to the amount of time and effort we put into this Fall Term. Another week would give us more time to prepare for what the next term brings us, and with first-years being overwhelmed already, we believe we need a longer break. Teaching ourselves has not been easy and this would allow us to clear our heads of all the new and unexpected challenges we have faced.
