Are you sick of seeing that ugly “Landshark” on our sideline? So are we. As current Ole Miss students, we believe that a Labrador Retriever would suit the role of school mascot far better, here is why:

1) completely original mascot

2) Tennessee has a hound dog named “Smokey” and our Lab could be named “Rebel”, allowing us to keep that name

3) Duck Hunting is very popular in Mississippi, thus making Labrador Retrievers popular

4) who doesn’t love dogs, controversy and complaints would be extremely limited to nonexistent

5) Our rival Mississippi State has a dog mascot as well

6) Tony the Landshark is ugly and unpopular
