Stop telling pre-op transgender kids that their feelings are a phase.
Look, I'm just saying. Ever since I started bringing this up, I have heard from people all over that this is just a phase and it will pass. They say that I'm just striving to be different and that's not it at all. I want to be a boy and I am tired of people telling me that I'm lying to myself and indulging a childish fantasy. They say that I just want to be able to say that I am transgender so that people will give me special treatment, but that is not at all true because transgender people are often seen as outcasts and are discriminated against. Please, if you are telling kids that, STOP! It's not fair and it makes us feel like everything that we do and think won't be taken seriously because it's the result of a phase!
