1 in 5 American adults has a disability and everyone who lives long enough will become elderly. If this doesn't affect you directly, then it impacts someone that you know and love.

We the people, hereby demand that City, State, and Federal agencies work with the tenants of Disabled and Elderly Housing to ensure that their concerns and complaints regarding their places of residence are properly addressed. The plethora of unfit living conditions breaches many serious laws that must be upheld.

The City, State, and Federal agencies must meet with tenants to discuss management concerns, facility upkeep, and the like. Additionally, a new system must be enacted that will guarantee all complaints to be directly transferred to City, State, and Federal agencies. Finally, an automatic system that punishes management for not addressing the concerns of tenants must be imposed immediately. To this day, elderly men and women are subjected to unfit living conditions as a result of neglectful and spiteful controllers.

Accessible Space Inc. at Sky Forest Acres Apartments in California is a prime example of outright maltreatment, neglect, and blatant disregard for human life. A resident of this housing placement delivered her personal testimony on Facebook along with a stream of alarming photographs as documented evidence. The grotesque living conditions were severe enough to engender hemorrhaging, fungal infections, respiratory issues, and even cancer scares. see photos and videos

Within the 17 units of the premises, half of the residents have died or are critically ill. Toxic molds and Radon toxic gas have infected the buildings. Accessible Space Inc is granted between 25 and 50 million dollars annually to provide suitable living conditions for senior citizens and disabled persons, yet the plethora of reports made to management about excessive heat, water leaks, and lethal molds have cruelly been ignored. This deplorable conduct is unacceptable and inhumane.

City, State, and Federal Agencies have an obligation to step in and immediately terminate any and all unfit living conditions. Elderly and disabled persons deserve so much better.

We the people demand the following:

1) Meet with Disabled & Elderly Housing tenants at least twice a year to address their concerns regarding management and facility upkeep.

2) Create a system where all management and facility care complaints are forwarded to City, State, and Federal Agencies. To ensure satisfactory checks and balance system on all three levels, facility owners must be barred from concealing repeated violations of health safety along with human rights, disability rights, landlord-tenant rights and other codes.

3) Impose fines, sanctions, and criminal charges to management and facility owners who refuse to appropriately handle tenants’ concerns in a timely manner. Repeated violations must result in financial compensation to all affected tenants
