Petition Closed

Capital punishment is essentially unnecessary. This Petition is not meant to condone the alleged actions of those who have been and will be executed one day. However, it is common principle that two wrongs don't make a right. A life sentence in jail is more than enough. If a person is later found to be innocent, a death sentence cannot be reversed. Due to the fact that the right verdict is not always given in every court case,  nobody deserves to die at the hands of the judicial system. It is impossible to convey that killing is wrong by taking someone's life. It's paradoxical and hypocritical. I know that this is under the jurisdiction of the state, but the flaws of our justice system are being internationally recognized right now, so this needs to be addressed nationally. Please support this petition for change. -LeShea Thomas

End Capital Punishment In ALL of America
