World Food Prize goes to 3 representatives of rogue technologies
Oct 16, 2013 — World Food Prize goes to 3 representatives of rogue technologies
Today is World Food Day. Unfortunately World Food Day has been undermined by the bestowing of an award to representatives from Monsanto and two other Biotech corporations. This Award is not a surprise because the private, non-profit World Food Prize Foundation has received significant funding from major biotechnology companies, and has had ties to DuPont, Cargill, Monsanto, and Syngenta. Unfortunately because it is awarded on World food Day on October 16, many may think, as I did, that this prize is a legitimate prize linked to the legitimate World Food Day. It has even been represented as the Nobel Laureate of agriculture.
