The term "catching up" has been dominating the debate concerning the post-COVID recovery for school children in the UK. The term "catching-up" has become synonymous with more school and this is not what children need, what they need to "catch-up" on is missed experiences. I'm a teacher, believe me, children this year are peddling furiously to catch up!  However, the thought of providing experiences for many families after the economic hits they have taken this year are overwhelming.  

This is why I have decided to set up this petition, let's persuade the UK or devolved governments to offer every child in the UK (or devolved nation)  the opportunity to catch up on  experiences. As part of the country's recovery, I would like to see every school child offered to a set of vouchers to allow them to access cultural, social and sporting experiences. I would like to see every school age child receive a £10 book token, a £10 cinema token, a £10 tourist attraction token, a £10 toy token and £10 leisure centre token. And, where it is not currently provided, free bus travel. It's £50 per school-age child! 

When public health is protected let's protect the future development of our children.
