Chronic pain patients access to medication. We must be heard
Hi I’m Rob. I am a chronic pain sufferer who has been denied the opioid pain medication I need to have any resemblance of a life.
Having to be confined to a bed or your home shouldn’t be the only option. We have been caught up in this so called opioid epidemic. The real opioid epidemic is heroine and illegal fentanyl. We as patients shouldn’t have to consider quality of life vs quantity of life.
All we hear in the news media is prescription drugs started the opioid epidemic. Not true the U.S. has had a opioid epidemic for decades. Who did the heroine drug users blame before prescription drugs? Addicts will always blame someone else because it’s hard for them to admit they did it.
we as patients need to survive. Did you know untreated chronic pain patients life span is cut short by 20 years? Did you know in 2018 there was just under 15,000 Oxycodone deaths but, in 2018 there were over 88,000 alcohol related deaths. These are CDC numbers.
The only way for change is to be heard please join me to change the epidemic on chronic pain medication.
United we stand divided we fail.
