Recently a well known user on Trevor Space (We will refer to them as User 1), was forced to leave after being refused to appeal unwarranted points that was caused by a toxic and ableist user on the site. This user, who will remain anonymous for within reason (will be referred to as User 2), was being bigoted and contradictory over a DNI request, User 2 was not at all clear over their boundaries, and User 1 even then made no move to interact with them unless User 2 began the interaction, but even then User 1 did not continue to interact after User 2 interacts. User 2 would proceed to abuse reports and flag User 1 with harassment, the moderation staff team decided to not only ignore how User 2 behaved to other users, from out right ignoring how User 2 was mini harassing and bullying other users, insulting their usernames and allowing them to be aggressive to users and being the instigator to drama, not give them points or even place them on content moderation, but give User 1 points, but when User 1 attempted to appeal, the moderation staff team attempted to justify the points, and tried to claim that User 1 was instigating harassment when User 2 was the one picking fights.

After that, User 1 proceeded to leave and delete their account, dropping their discord to stay in contact with users in the site. However, User 2 proceeded to use a discord account to not only harass, but attempted to misgender and call User 1 a pedophile without anything to back up this claim attempting to harm User 1.

User 2, actively took advantage of User 1 leaving to then lie about many things and lie about the cross platform harassment.

User 2 at this very time frame in the understanding of other users is unbanned, and has received no punishments even when the discord cross platform harassment was sent to moderation staff.

The Trevor Space moderation staff have been shown constantly to be ignoring and dismissive to the harm of certain users, and would continuously defend problematic users and not allow victims of said problematic users the space and opening to talk about the harm caused by these users and truly express the pain they feel.

Well known abusers are left to be shielded from victims call out telling them to leave, users who spread legitimate eugenics on pro autism acceptance and awareness threads are allowed to have their content stay up, toxic users constantly defended when they abuse reports, users blatantly telling autistic users to not feel hurt by slurs walk free and so on and so forth unfortunately.

The moderation have been nothing but blatantly neglectful of doing a proper job protecting this site. Silencing minority voices and making harmful nudges that harmful people deserve a chance to be in the safe space when time and time again they have hurt countless numbers of users.

Please sign this petition to let those in the Trevor Space know, hell, let people who think about joining Trevor Space to steer clear of a forum who’s staff team truly does not care for its users.

If you are a content creator or frequent, use the hashtag “#TSIsNotASafeSpace” to spread awareness of the blatant harm happening. Stop the Trevor Project from promoting the lie it’s safe space when the forums is a battle ground of validity debates and ableists running rampant and having the constant upper hand over the neurodiverse of the forums.
