Support the need for street lights on Newfield Drive

Newfield Drive in Natick is a highly traveled street by commuters who walk to the train and many residents and more who use the sidewalks around Natick Village, Kendall Crossing, Natick Green and Deerfield Forest to walk. The street does not have one street light. Walking after dark is frightening to so many. The area is surrounded by woods and there are many animals who you may not want to encounter, the sidewalks are very icy in the winter causing many to walk in the road. Walkers at night are very hard to see when driving. Many do use flashlights, head lamps and reflective ware. I feel that such a highly traveled road should have lighting. Many use the sidewalks from our town for its park like atmosphere. Many more would be able to enjoy our beautiful neighborhood if we had lights. Personally I would enjoy an evening walk more often but do not feel comfortable even with a flashlight. I have been talking and writing to town officials for years and have been told there in no money and it is not a safety issue. Please sign this petition if you would like to help convince the Town of Natick that Newfield Drive needs lights.
