The Beehive Park, on Highway 109 between Teviotdale and Harriston, might be scheduled for closure and turned into a different venue. Not only is there great school history associated with that plot of land, but as a local rest stop/park for the past many years it holds a sense of community spirit. It’s a landmark the locals recognize as well as outside travelers. It’s a perfect spot for an OPP slow-down-watch; and a highly visible locale to place signage for local town and country events. A concerned group is generating ideas to have this site play an even more rewarding role in attracting attention to the Town of Minto. Heritage and community sites are part of who we lose Beehive Park would destroy the memory. We are asking for your support by signing this appeal and/or giving constructive suggestions.
