Recognition of Greek ancestry and footprint

Recently, we saw an advertisement within your pages on "Macedonian National Day-Ilinden". The advertisement showed a map and also featured Alexander the Great, and a short history of Ilenden. The Toronto Star is the largest and most widely circulated newspaper in Canada, and should be fully aware of the national issue concerning the name "Macedonia" and all it implies by the Republic of Greece and the Skopje entity that calls itself FYROM (Former Yugoslav Region of Macedonia). Irredentist policies that encompass the borders of the Macedonian province within Greece are a danger to Greek sovereignty, the history of Alexander the Great is intrinsic with Greek history and is part of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon. We would expect the Toronto Star to fact check and substantiate the propaganda being advertised on its pages. A complaint to the Consulate of Greece in Montreal and the Pan Macedonian Association of Canada, will be lodged against the Toronto Star if a retraction is not made of this false advertisement. Further, a petition will follow by the Greek Diaspora to complain about this advertisement. Thanking you in advance. We remain yours truly, herein signed.
