HEB ISD has online learning that is very inconvenient for students and parents. These classes require students to attend Google Meets for their classes and to be present for the entire class in order to be counted present. However they also claim that students have to complete the assignments given in the CANVAS Application for attendance. This is extremely inconvenient for students because some have acquired jobs over the break due to the COVID Pandemic sweeping through and have cost some parents their jobs. Students are also pressured to do the assignments no matter what and a good portion of the students claim that they feel they are not learning anything due to these new regulations, and their grades reflect it. I have proposed a new plan which could help students by doing the following:

- Pre-recorded lessons for the class that students can access any time of the day for a flexible schedule

- An assignment going over everything explained in the recording that upon completion, counts as attendance, but not a grade

- Students can email teachers questions about assignments

A good portion of students have claimed that "Online School is more like a job than school" because of all the deadlines and expected work. Some teachers have such little flexibility that their lessons end up being taught and then forgotten. This allows students to work under less stress of time and meetings, and allow a much more flexible schedule. STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN OUTCOME. A lot of students believe that the district should start to view them as adults and give more responsibility for the real world. I believe this is the chance for the district to begin that process.
