Allow parents to drop off food to on campus students
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
A new rule was instituted at Dixie where students are no longer allowed to eat the food dropped off by their parents. Instead it is confiscated and you are told you can “pick it up at the end of the day” (as if fast food doesn’t get cold) this newly instituted rule makes no sense what so ever seeing as
-it’s the parents choice to decide what their child eats
-the school food is disgusting and small portioned
- and the student is not leaving campus but instead simply taking food and returning to class/lunchtime
Somehow believing that a child going hungry is better then them eating a lunch brought to them is ridiculous and volatile and should be reflected upon immediately. You are not encouraging children to not leave campus, you are encouraging them to instead; leave, get food, eat it off campus, and then come back leading to them possibly missing valuable class instruction.
There is no indication of this new rule on the DHHS website making it impossible for a student or parent to understand.
If you believe that a parent or Ubereats™ Service should be able to deliver food to students on campus and through the front gate/office during lunchtime sign below.
Remeber Dixie, wanting chicken nuggets should not be punishable.
