As a fellow student, I would like to let the students of the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County keep their phones and not have to submit them to the school every day. The ridiculous rule of taking away are phones dont just deny our freedom to express ourselves, but our freedom to learn and be successful. The administration has already implemented the rule of submitting the cell phone to the teacher via a distinguished phone bin. If a student does not do this and gets caught then the teacher will have the ability to take it away. The school wants a new rule of taking away the phone in the morning and getting it back when school ends. This rule will not be implemented into the society of HANC, and over my dead body will this happen. HANC has no power to oppress us with this, and if they try to take away our freedoms, the students of HANC will rebel.
