Richard Bland started this petition to The Stowe Selectboard

It's been over a month since the Stowe Selectboard began discussing whether the Town should vote to withdraw from the Lamoille South Unified Union (LSUU) School District.  Nine towns in Vermont have already held votes on whether to withdraw from their forced-merged school districts.  The window of opportunity for Stowe to vote to withdraw from our forced-merged school district may soon close (or be foreclosed).  If you are a registered Stowe voter, here's a chance to weigh in on whether the electorate of Stowe should vote as soon as possible to withdraw from the LSUU:

The Selectboard should schedule a vote, as soon as possible, on the Town's withdrawal from the Lamoille South Unified Union School District, so that the Stowe School District, which existed immediately prior to the forced-merger with the Elmore-Morristown Unified Union School District, could be reconstituted.  If you are a registered Stowe voter and agree with the above statement, please promptly sign this petition, as the Selectboard is scheduled to meet this Monday, March 8th.
