How it works on your brain
Following oral consumption, Psilocybin rapidly metabolizes in the liver and converts into its active form Psilocin, which enters into the blood circulation system and reaches the brain (R).
Once in the brain, it binds to neurochemical receptors called serotonin receptors. These receptors usually found in the brain regions housed by neurons which, upon excitation, cause an increase in the activity of the brain areas implicated in memory, behavior, emotions, and mood (R).
However, new research has revealed that Psilocin mediates its effects mainly by causing a decreased blood flow (up to 20%) to specific regions in your brain. The brain regions monitor empathy, emotion, personality expression, consciousness, and social behavior (R).
health benefits from them
1. Scientists assessed some therapeutic potential of Psilocybin for mood disorder
2. Moderate doses of Psilocybin can reduce depressive symptoms in men and women with major depression
3.In one study they found its significantly improved there moods and reduced their anxiety with volenters that have advanced-stage cancer.
4. Some volunteers, had shown the Psilocybin enhancing their moods by it decreasing their reactivity of amygdala, a region in the brain that's involved in your positive mood processing.
Why do I think they should become legalized!
I think it could help the opioid epidemic were in and get a lot of the people off these pills that make problems worse and start using natural medicines that grow from our home earth. It also goes against our 1st amendment how their illegal
