As an educational service provider, we primarily work with government agencies and school districts. In the past 3 years, we have been rewarded with substantial growth in our student's interest and attitude towards learning, creativity, and overall development. However, any reward is limited by the profound fiscal, chronological, and operational waste representative of the bureaucracies that our tax dollars provide. Although this is familiar to anyone that works alongside or in government, the negative impact such waste has on our children is unacceptable if we are dedicated to the economic and democratic prosperity of this nation.
We work tirelessly to provide educational organizations with solutions to many of their problems, yet any enthusiasm and/or desire to implement with subsequent results is stonewalled by lackluster communication, archaic forms of organization, and hesitance regarding fiscal responsibility in providing educational services parallel to 21st Century learning environments. It's as if the powers that be forget that they are using our money! But this is what happens when an organization is given money annually with little accountability. American education: excessive student accountability with little or no accountability in execution…maybe this is why we lag behind the rest of the world while spending $600 billion every year.
This does a great disservice to students-especially the at-risk and urban populations we work with-because many desperately need well run programming in order to reach their full potential and avoid circulation into the penal system. While these educational organizations drag their feet, they continue to let our youth lull in a system that was never intended to work in a digital social order (http://www.ted.com/talks/ken_robinson_changing_education_paradigms.html?source=email#.USOgtuvsMjk.email).
It's important to remember that our tax dollars pay for these atrocities. If we want it to stop, we have to demand it. We are asking that you sign this petition so we can deliver it to the bureaucratic powers that be. This will start the conversation to end mismanagement in our educational system.
After you sign, please take a moment to spread the word and feel free to let your friends and family know about this daily! Let's help the kids in need who need us and stop wasteful government spending in Georgia in the process!
