Stop the bill HRC-1004 in the State of SD

The Issue

Taking any government funds to have any one specific religious text taught in public schools is against the U.S. Constitution. Stating that the South Dakota schools may teach the Bible and only the Bible is itself a violation, in selecting one religion's text over all others. This sort of action by the South Dakota legislature opens up a climate for religious wars in that other religions will demand equal class time. We do not need to create a hostile environment in the schools and open up our state to costly lawsuits.
