Stratford's South End does not have a supermarket.
Residents living in Lordship and the South End have to travel 4-6 miles round trip to obtain produce and groceries. This was made worse when the local farmers market was moved to Paradise Green. A poor decision for the South End.
While there are small convenience stores and dollar stores, neither offers fresh  vegetables and meats The South End and Lordship are now 'food deserts' as defined by the USDA.
This is a quality of life issue for those without their own transportation, who rely on public transportation or paid app transportation.
There is available property at Main Street & Access Road that would be perfect for this kind of a development.
