" Convicted GANG members between the ages of 18-25 should be sentenced to 8 yrs in the ARMY rather than doing time in JAIL or PRISON " 

Special restrictions for convicts  would apply, but they would be of greater use to the country as soldiers rather than inmates. 

They would learn disciplines that would correct their deviant mentalities. And give them the skills to re-enter society as more civilized and productive citizens.
