As many of you are now aware, it looks like the writing center at the School of Social Work lost its funding and will no longer be in existence. This includes e-tutor, which will be completely unavailable next year. As a writing tutor at the SSWWC, I can attest to the usefulness of this service and have seen many students dramatically improve their writing. It's unrealistic to make students travel to the 68th Street writing center on top of field and classes. With its heavy writing emphasis, the School of Social Work has a responsibility to provide its students with an accessible, free writing center.
