Ban Electric Shock Collars in Scotland

Electric shock collars are harmful and have no place in modern dog training. The advice from academia, dog behaviourists and trainers is clear – electrocuting dogs does not help train them.

Despite this, the Scottish Government unfortunately plans to create a new regulatory regime that will allow the continued use of these harmful devices. Sadly, this will do little to help protect dogs from being harmed and will only create unnecessary bureaucracy.

We need an evidence based policy, and the simplest solutions are often the best. That is why we must call on the Scottish Government to ban electric shock collars once and for all.

If you care about animal welfare, if you care about evidence based policy, if you care about doing the right thing - these collars don't need to be licensed, they need to be banned.
