Bullying has become a virus that has been ignored for years.
Bullying has become a virus that has been ignored for years.
This is my story........We live in Maryland Charles County. We moved into the county like a year ago with my family, and with the eagerness of going to a new neighborhood and meeting new faces and friends. My son is a very friendly and sociable little young man, always ready and wanting to make friends and beel looking forward to making new friend before his happiness turns to a nightmare.
Since my son resumed the school it has always been one thing or the other. Until this day in April 01, 2022. My son said he went to the school bathroom and met this duo already wearing a ski mask, which he said he was then pushed to the wall and they started punching him on his stomach, and he was later dropped to the bathroom ground, and both started stumping on him and laughed in mockery.
I went to the school to report the incident, met with the the school administrator and was told that they are going to start the investigation. But, they instead took the time and playing a game. Until I have the issue escalated to the school state board. But their verdict was that, they checked on their cctv and never see my son in the footage and feel that all the stories my son said are vague and they could no longer proceed with their investigation.
My son is now finding it hard to get this incident off his head, and questioning himself that why would he lie, why do they think hes lying and would he lie about something like that, now he dreams over and over again on being beaten up. I see this has become a traumatic experience for him that will require a therapy for him to live and go to school without any fear.
I am asking for everyone contribution to make this incident known and let's fight this virus called "Bullying"
It will definitely take a village to fight this out of our children's school
Now it's easy for kids to get away with various criminal act because no one is ready to step in. And we see them as the leaders of tomorrow. How can we eradicate crime....while it started from school and no form of action is in place to look into it. I urge everyone individually to come out and fight the virus that is taking over in the life of the young generation.
