We should be able to wear hats in GHS. The main reason the school administration does not want to have students wearing hats is because it’s “too distracting”. Yet we still have people in our school wearing capes, having bright colored hair, chains hanging from their pockets, hearts painted on their eyes, ect…that’s not distracting to you? We should be allowed to at least wear a simple ball cap. We’ve had a few spirit week/Halloween days where we were allowed to wear hats, not a problem for most kids in the school. If kids are allowed to wear other “distracting” accessories we should be allowed to wear a simple trucker hat. We should be able to wear what we want, hats do not interfere with our learning abilities if they are on our head. If the hat were to be too distracting  for a student you take it away from that ONE student, not the entire school. We should be able to wear what we want, as long as it does not interfere with our learning. And hats definitely do not distract most of us.
