Prohibit Mosques from loudly broadcasting of "Call to Prayer" ("Adhan")

The "Call to Prayer" or "Adhan" by the Muslim community.

Adhan is called out from the mosque five times a day, calling Muslims for mandatory worship. The multiple loud pronouncements of adhan are to give followers a summary of Islamic belief. The Adhan is purposefully broadcast loudly so that believers and NON believers are made aware of the prayer meeting about to take place at the mosque.

This can of course result in public nuisance due to noise pollution, can be unacceptable to British communities and contravene the law of the land.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ACT 1990
Under s.79 of the 1990 Act, 'Noise emitted from premises so as to be prejudicial to health or a nuisance, or interfering unduly with the comfort and convenience of neighbouring occupiers, could give rise to a prosecution in the Magistrates’ Court'

Muslims to notify their congregation without disturbing the peace or invoking legal action under the Environment Protection Act 1990 s.79
