Ban ticket resellers like Viagogo, StubHub and GetMeIn from pre-buying tickets
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
Ticket resellers like Viagogo are being allowed to buy tickets to shows and events that would normally sell out at the price agreed between artist and venue, and put those tickets on their website within minutes of general release at a much higher price. And who loses out? Us, the fans.
Within minutes of tickets for high profile events going on sale, the very same tickets can already be found through these companies at anywhere from 150% and upwards of the RRP. Some events 'sell out' within minutes, yet the ticket resellers have hundreds of overpriced tickets to sell you immediately. They are simply making a huge profit by preventing true fans from getting their tickets at the standard price.
We don't need these companies, they provide no service that isn't already being provided by the venue, and they cost hundreds of people extra money unnecessarily just for wanting to go and see their favourite band, comedian or other artist. They should be made to wait until after sales go live, until the general public has had a fair chance to buy their own ticket direct from the venue or artist at the standard price, and have a limit placed on how many tickets they can buy. There are limits in place for public customers so why not these companies?
Please sign and share if you agree that ticket resellers should not be allowed to continue to make profit at the fans' expense without giving the customer a fair chance to buy their ticket at the recommended price.
