Heads held high!!!!!
Apr 21, 2016 — It is with a heavy heart that I write this post, but unfortunately the Royal British Legion Women's Section will be no more as of 30th September 2016. And therefore we as a proud group of women voted today to bow out gracefully and not have the board of trustees make any more decisions for us. To go into further negotiations with them would only lead to the inevitable being drawn out and any funds raised in the meantime going to the RBL and not our deserving welfare.
I thank each and everyone of you for signing this petition and even though we are meant to live in a democratic contry, our democratic right was taken from us on this occasion. I hope the 5 million (approx) that the RBL now gain from the Women's Section fund raising in the past, serves them well as we the ladies of the Women's Section have done for 95 year's. (I know it won't, but let them learn that the hard way!!)
Thank you all again and I'm sorry the outcome was not different.
Keep fighting for people power!
