Jonathan Greaves started this petition to The Royal Borough of Greenwich

During School term time at the Halley Academy on Corelli Road, staff park along both sides of the street. Whilst parking is currently unrestricted, this results in the street becoming too narrow for cars to pass. This effectively turns the road into a one way street with no one vehicle having right of way.

We the undersigned are petitioning for the following:
1) The introduction of residents only parking along Corelli Road
2) A change of staff parking policy at Halley Academy on Corelli Road to ensure that all staff must park on the school premises.

The parking of staff at Halley Academy during term time has caused distress and a number of issues amongst local residents over a number of years. The street is otherwise quiet and generally peaceful. The result of the staff parking along Corelli Road and the neighbouring streets has caused the following not limited to but including:

- Motorists becoming confrontational, aggressive and abusive to local residents.

- Damage to residents vehicles.

- Residents being disturbed by excessive car hooting during the early morning.

- Dangerous road conditions for children living on the road who could be blindsided by the build up of cars.

- Large volumes of traffic passing through.

- Unsafe road conditions whereby if the school or residents were to have am emergency, the emergency services' access would be impeded.

It is noted that previous attempts to address the issue consulting with the school and the council and the police have been dismissed as isolated individual complaints and therefore this petition serves notice that this issue is not an isolated complaint but a collective concern amongst residents along the street.
