The Right Honorable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada

The Honorable Ms. Iqra Khalid, MP for Mississauga - Erin Mills

re: Motion M-103

Kindly note, my origin is from Saudi Arabia by birth-country and
heritage from both parents.
I am a Canadian citizen and have lived in Canada for over 30 years.
Previous to that I lived in Saudi Arabia, other Middle Eastern and
North-African countries, and also in Germany for many years.
Thus I have a realistic understanding as to the challenges of the
recent years' refugee immigration from Islamic countries into Europe.
The Canadian Government has the responsibility to support and protect it's Muslim population and your sincere efforts in this regard are highly commendable.

However, the Government is not authorized to protect against or prohibit open discussion and criticism of Islam, nor is the Canadian Government authorized to further, in any way, any doctrine of Islam.

There is not "one " Islam, but many Islams, many different interpretations.

As Canadians, we have to remain vigilant which of these
interpretations are supportive of our Canadian values, and which of the Interpretations contain inherent ethics opposed to our cherished way of life.

There can be no doubt that the Saudi Arabian and Iranian Governments'  interpretation of communal values of Islam differ profoundly from ours, and several of these definitions and their propagation require to be clearly examined from the perspective of our Canadian Criminal code.

Just to name a few, some or all of which may very well be criminal deviations:
1. Freedom of religion, even for Muslims wishing to embrace Christianity or any other Religion or non-religious spiritual path.(Death sentence)
2. severe Gender Inequality,
3. LGBT prosecution (Death sentence)
4. Freedom of speech (includes Death sentence)
5. Freedom of peaceful assembly (includes Death sentence)

Islam's beauty has to remain in the eye of the beholder, not imposed by a community or Government, and especially not propagated by the Canadian Government.

For the Canadian Government to single out a specific religion for attack and/or protection is unconstitutional, thus unlawful.

Respectfully,
Adel M.A. Mosly
