The tiger 7 bus was a Reading bus route that used to run all the way from Reading to Fleet. However, the service was cut fully on 17th January 2022 cutting lots of people, including the vulnerable and elderly, from the Reading bus network.

Eventually, the council brought back the bus service although only as far as the Dog and Partridge bus stop, with limited service throughout the day.

These cuts are still affecting people. Just one recent example is that of some elderly passengers that were using the service to go beyond Risely, but had to go all the way back into Reading and pay money for a taxi, so they could get home, which is ridiculous. We shouldn't accept this or any cuts to our services.

We all have a right to a good efficient reliable bus service no matter where we live. Reading Labour council has plans for more cuts to our services and this is why we need to fight the Labour, Lib Dem and Tory council cuts around Berkshire. TUSC demands:

The reinstatement of the hourly bus service

Commitment to a service that runs all the way to Fleet, as before Introduction of a Sunday service

A guarantee from the council that they will not cut anymore bus services
