On May 17, 2022 the mayor of Highland Falls , Joseph D’Onofrio pled guilty to disorderly conduct in a deal with the Orange County District Attorneys office. His agreement included a $250 fine , 40 hours of community service and an admission of guilt in stealing two trees worth approximately $158 and that he submitted ballot petitions for the 2021 mayoral race that he photocopied from a running mate and fraudulently signed as having witnessed those signatures. 
    In light of the admission guilt , we the undersigned residents of the village of highland falls are requesting the resignation of Joseph D’Onofrio as mayor.
