Sister Cities Project started this petition to The Residents of Encinitas

The Purpose of this People's Resolution is to consolidate the voice of the people in Sister Cities partnerships to share their collective commitment to the Sister Cities Project Mission for their Communities.

This is a resolution asking the residents of Encinitas to support Sister Cities Project, a non-profit organization with a mission to create relationships between the residents of Encinitas and City Heights to cultivate greater understanding between black and white people in those communities.

Sister Cities Project is a program that partners underserved minority communities with affluent, white communities within large cities, to build a new relationship to deepen cultural understanding.

By supporting this resolution you are helping us document the individual commitments of people within the Sister Cities communities themselves that see this as an important step toward ending racial inequality.

WHEREAS, The larger vision for Sister Cities Project is to create a model that can be duplicated throughout the United States and the world eventually. Sister Cities Project is committed to forming these partnerships between differing communities in order to be a catalyst to help end racial inequality. By supporting Sister Cities Project, I am committed to supporting a larger vision of world change.

WHEREAS, as a resident of Encinitas, I support the mission of Sister Cities Project and fellow residents in our communities who want to find ways to create relationships and deeper cultural understanding between Encinitas and City Heights communities here in San Diego County.

WHEREAS, I am committed to supporting efforts to make Encinitas a more welcoming community for Black people in particular.
