Ravelry, hire an accessibility expert so we can access without harm.

Ravelry is a platform for knitters, crocheters, fibre artists worldwide. It is hugely successful with millions of members. It gives a platform to designers, yarn dyers, and hobbyists to share and grow their skills, have fun and chat on forums.
The Ravelry website has had a complete remodel in June 2020. This change has resulted in harming a lot of users. People are reporting migraines after a few minutes, nausea, vertigo, even seizures. The response of the Ravelry team has been less than adequate. They haven't acknowledged real harm, instead shutting down forum threads on accessibility issues. Although they have allowed for a toggle to go on "Classic Ravelry" this version is still causing problems. They are barely communicating outside of the website that is inaccessible. There are many who simply can't go on the site anymore. This includes designers who rely on the platform for income.
I have trusted Ravelry but this is not addressed sensitively (to say the least). An independent expert would make sure all accessibility issues are resolved and tested appropriately, so that all users can come back to Ravelry safely.
Please consider signing this petition. I and many others want to be part of the Ravelry story, we want to belong. We have loved it and want to live it again.
