On September 20th, the City Council of Chanhassen approved a large solid wall to be built around Paisley Park. Like a privacy wall where the building can no longer be seen and pictures can no longer be taken. This will block the view and change the whole look of the home that Prince had built. Prince said it himself, Paisley Park is his home and he invited all of us, his Purple Family to visit him. He never wanted it to look like a compound or be uninviting. He wanted it to be visible to all.

Leaving gifts is our way of paying our respect to someone who gave us all so much and we have no other place to do this. Not only does this help the global loss from fans all over the world but is a way to show all the creativity that he has inspired in us all.

Putting up a solid wall could actually turn into a safety hazard because people will try to climb it if they cannot see his home. It will not stop the gifts from flowing and people from trying to take pictures and be near it. It will only make it appear unwelcoming which he never intended. Put the money towards the taxes or keeping the equipment up to date so it can be a musical learning center!

Please Chanhassen, stop this plan! If Prince wanted Paisley to look like this he would have put a wall around it when he was alive. This will shut the fans out and make Paisley Park an uninviting place.

Too many changes are happening here. We all need to remember what it's really all about!
