The residents of the Dellrose Community in Hockley, Texas are continually getting gouged with excessive fees levied by the North Harris County Regional Water Authority.  The fees are increasing drastically at a disproportionate rate to our water usage and the residents have been blind-sided when opening up water bills that are exorbitant. Dellrose Residents  have experienced the shock of inflated fees for a few years and new residents are also experiencing the same issues.

Many residents have rationed their water usage but only to discover that there still hasn’t been any relief in the reduction of fees. We need better regulation, oversight, and reigning in of this regional water authority, and we need clearer information on the caps that are placed on their fees. 

Our families should be able to enjoy the splendor of using this precious resource and have a peace of mind not only in the reliability of supply, but also in the affordability. Water bills have become almost the single highest living expense in many households, with the exclusion of mortgages. Residents of Dellrose want to see and deserve to see fairness in water rates and fee assessments across the board and we can’t stand for any further gouging by the regional water authority.
