Have Anna Wintour Resign as Editor In chief and hire a black editor
Why this petition matters

Saddens me that only when she’s called out in a public forum does she respond. And usually it’s only intent is to pacify the public. 32 years Anna has every opportunity to create equality. Not diversity for hire. Not diversity for. CLick bait. Just to exist in the same space with the same opportunity and chances. Diversity should have been implemented from the start of your career. When black artist were being stripped of identity just for their work to be seen. Often being stolen and printed under other names. So the statements Anna Wintour made recently (“Vogue not found enough ways to elevate and give space to Black editors, writers, photographers, designers and other creators”) only amplifies the message that black creatives like myself have been wasting our breaths repeating to her and people like her for years. We just want equality! To be given the same opportunity as our white contemporaries. Plain and simple. Not to become a “hot topic” small feature after a Black creative calls you out for Appropriating culture or out right intellectual theft for profit! We are more than a trend. We are more than a moment! We are just as important if not more important than the people you choose to cast over us. Instead of Vogue continuing to be lead by someone who chooses to be tone deaf and ignorant she should resign and allow things to be shaken up a bit. Real change. “Be the change you seek.” If you truly care about this movement step aside and stand with us in solidarity by vacating your seat and giving it to Andre Leon Talley!!! Give it to Elaine! Give it to someone who understands the necessity of equality. Vogue, since the start of it has been the lookbook, the Bible, the beginning, middle and end for FASHION. It has controlled fashion. How we see it. How we buy it! How the public responds and lives based on the pages in your books. Together we can change the perspective of the industry.
Peace and love
