The proposed changes to Lake Muldrew by the MLCA do not represent me
Why this petition matters

Over the past few years the Muldrew Lake Cottagers Association (MLCA) has been working on a Lake Plan , a document that guides land use planning according to a "vision" for the future of a lake. This vision is determined by cottagers, residents, and community stakeholders, and seeks to identify and protect the physical, social and environmental values of a lake community. The MLCA will create a final report, based on the most current version of the lake plan (May 17, 2022), after the next meeting on August 27th to be submitted to the Town of Gravenhurst Official Plan/Zoning By-law this Fall. Given the heterogenous nature of Lake Muldrew, and the diversity of cottages, we wanted to ensure everyone was aware of the plan being submitted and comfortable with the changes outlined, as it will affect different cottages in different ways.
If, like us, you feel the proposed changes need
- To incorporate the views and comments of all cottagers
- To be ratified by a majority of cottagers (51% or 2/3s majority)
To address and represent your concerns - To better address and represent your concerns, which are currently not wholly or accurately reflected
- To allow more time to ensure the views of the cottagers are accurately represented during a period of the year when seasonal cottagers are likely to be present on the lake.

The Muldrew Lake Cottagers Association proposal to amend the Lake Plan does not reflect my views and does not represent my interests and concerns as a cottager on the Lake. As such I ask for my opinions to be considered, a vote to ratify this proposal to be passed by a majority, and/or more time to ensure the views of the cottagers are accurately represented.
