A change to the marking system for labs

Hello! As most of you know, the marking rubric for our labs this semester is injust and unfair. This ideal grading scheme was implemented by the professors teaching NYA this semester who are Michal Goren, Antonio Nicodemo and J-M Régimbal. As well, for those with professor Régimbal, it is even more difficult as he is a very picky grader and looks for small things to remove marks. This system allows us to score 10,7.5,6 or 0 in each category and the lowest mark we receive in a criteria is our highest mark. That is truly unfair considering students in the past never had to deal with any of this and a small mistake would still score them a 95% instead of 75%. I call upon those taking this course to sign this petition and spread the word to those in each class so we can make a change and retrieve the marks we deserve. It is your r-score after all am i right? With a majority of signatures, this will be presented to the department of Chemistry anonymously to make a change. Signing this can be the difference between you passing and failing! Especially those stuck with professor Régimbal. Thank you!
