A larger canteen at Sacre Coeur
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
With 500 students buying their lunch at the canteen and 200 demanding lunch orders (at first preference), it isn't uncommon that the whole hot food section will sell out to 15 people in the first 10 minutes of lunchtime. This often leaves other students hungry and unable to concentrate on the following classes, as their nutritional values are not being fulfilled. Going to a private school, there isn't much to complain about. But when you're paying a reasonable sum of money annually, students and their parents expect proper care for their kids. Also, prices have risen over the past year from as much as 20c at a time, which may not seem like much but can make a big difference as to whether or not a child can purchase lunch. Don't get me wrong, without the canteen staff and food, Sacre Coeur would not be the same. But there is practically the exact same food every day, and some people are getting "bored." Sacre Coeur needs to face this basic economic problem with sensibility, and care for their student's nutritional supplements. If all of this won't convince you, ask the countless teachers who have the same experience, having to rush to the canteen to buy a slice of pizza (even though they get first preference). As they say, all for the sake of one child.
