As we are all aware this corona virus has devastated the world and will continue to do so for some time yet. It is vital that we all act appropriately and responsibly to ensure this level of outbreak doesn’t happen again. It has been shown that the outbreak originated from Wuhan in China where a great many exotic animal meat markets are based. Whilst I appreciate the Chinese culture they have to realise that it is simply unsafe for these markets to occur as it empowers things like covid 19 to enter our food chain. 
With this petition I am requesting a temporary closure of all the exotic animal meat markets with a view to regulating them comprehensively in order that they are safe for human consumption. If they are not already illegal they should be and they should not be functioning around the world. What is happening in the world today is wholly avoidable and those responsible need to be held accountable.

The number of deaths around the world is already in the tens of thousands and I hear they are already reopening these markets. Are they utterly mad, or just financially greedy. Like I said previously I would not want to shut these down permanently I would just ask that they are regulated thoroughly like all other food services.
